Who we are

Antibes Students

We are the Northern Headquarters branch of the Suiken Martial Arts Association located in Toronto, Ontario, and we teach traditional Okinawa Shorin-ryu Matsumura Seito Karate and Kobudo as taught in the Suiken Bugei Kai . We are also associated with the York Centre Karate; however, our training sessions have been taking place at Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre (Arena) Skaters Lounge (first floor) since September 2015. Although we train in traditional Okinawan karate and kobudo, our students also participate in sport karate tournaments if they so desire. During the past academic year (Sep 2014 Ė Jun 2015) the students of our branch have tested and achieved different kyu grades, and some participated in local martial arts tournaments this academic year.

Also kids program focuses on traditional karate training with a light mixture of sporting aspects of the art, and our adults program is completely based on traditional methods of training.
